Three talented Young Adult authors were featured on the BookExpo America 2009 Alternate History Author Stage. This panel featured Scott Westerfeld author of Leviathan; Cassie Clare, author of Clockwork Princess: The Infernal Devices #1; and Holly Black, author of White Cat.

The Tie That Binds: A Conversation Between Authors and Indie Booksellers
Sponsored by the American Booksellers Association, this keynote panel discussion focused on the importance of the relationship between authors and independent bookstores, and explored how that relationship can continue to grow and prosper in challenging times.
This session was moderated by Michael Tucker of Books Inc. in San Fransisco, the incoming ABA president. Tucker was joined on stage by best-selling authors Mo Willems, Neil Gaiman, Sherman Alexie, and Annie Barrows.
